Back To School Feast

Our Back to School Feast was a success! We waited for Jakob to have a night off work, so we were a few days into the new school year when we finally came together. We talked about our theme for the year and about personal safety.

We also have fathers blessings for each of the kids. It was wonderful as Steve placed his hands on each of our children’s heads and asked our Heavenly Father to bless them. He asked for divine help for their specific needs and challenges, and also encouraged them and expressed gratitude for their strengths and talents. We actually did this on Sunday, but we didn’t have time to do the dinner then, so we split it up a bit this year, but usually we do it all together.

It was a great evening. Love spending time with this family of mine and celebrating the beginning of the school year. Even though this year looks vastly different than years past, our family is doing well, and that makes my mama heart very happy.
