I’ve been sharing my 8 Days of Garland series on Instagram and I wanted to share it here as well with links for supplies. It has been so fun to come up with these simple garlands and share them with you. Today I will be sharing a scrap fabric garland.
Please head over to Instagram to watch the video tutorial that can be found in my highlight 8 Days of Garland to see how I made this fun garland. This fabric garland is so much fun. Use up all your fabric scraps and have fun mixing and matching color.
Day 3 | Scrap Fabric Garland
Supplies Needed | Variety of Fabric, Burlap, Jute, and Scissors.
Step 1 | Choose your color combination. I have included 4 options below.
Option 1 | Neutrals, blacks, and oranges.
Option 2| Neutrals, navy, and light blue pattern.
Option 3 | Neutrals, orange, yellow, and pinks.
Option 4 | Neutrals, yellow, and blues.
Step 2 | Gather supplies.
Step 3 | Tear fabric into 22″ – 24″ strips that measure 1″ wide.
Step 4 | Cut 6′ piece of jute.
Step 5 | Tie fabric onto garland. (Go to my Instagram account and find the tutorial in my highlights for more information.)
Step 6 | When the fabric is attached (I tied on about 125 strips of fabric) tie loops in both ends of the garland.
I used supplies I had on hand, but I have linked similar supplies below.
Let me know if you tried this garland! I would love to see what you come up with!
