I’ve been sharing my 8 Days of Garland series on Instagram and I wanted to share it here as well with links for supplies. It has been so fun to come up with these fun garlands and share them with you. Today I will be sharing a pom pom garland.
Please head over to Instagram to watch the video tutorial that can be found in my highlight 8 Days of Garland to see how I made this fun garland.

DAY 1 | Pom Pom Garland
Supplies Needed | Yarn, Scissors, Yarn Needle, and Cardboard.
Step 1 | Gather supplies.
Step 2 | Make cardboard pom pom maker or use your own pom pom maker. I cut mine out of a cereal box and cut it into a 3 1/2″ by 2″ rectangle with a wide slit halfway up the middle of both.
Step 3 | Make pom poms. Wrap yarn 30-40 times around cardboard pieces so that the slit shows on each side. Tie a small piece of yarn around the middle of the wrapped yarn. Use the slit in the cardboard to get all the way around. Cut either side of the wrapped yarn. Pull pom pom off cardboard.
Step 4 | Make 28 pom poms.
Step 5 | Use yarn needle to thread and space the pom poms evenly on 6′ of thick yarn to make garland.
I used supplies I had on hand, but I have linked similar supplies below.
Pink Yarn, Yellow Yarn, Mustard Yarn, Cream Yarn, Burgandy Yarn, White Yarn
Thick White Yarn (for threading)
Pom Pom Maker (I don’t have this one, but it looks awesome!)
Let me know if you tried this garland! I would love to see what you come up with!
