We celebrated my husband’s 40th in San Fransisco. We stayed in the center of the city in a hotel with views of the surrounding high rises and a sliver of the bay. We visited Pier 39, Fisherman’s Wharf, and China Town. We walked and walked up and down hills, stopping to see all the shops and eating at all the places. We rode on the buses and trolleys all around the city. We visited a church service on Sunday. Steve plotted a 13 mile run across the Golden Gate Bridge and made it happen. I went to see Hamilton, so incredible. We also tracked down the Full House home, though we were a bit disappointed it was under construction. We ate Ghiradilla Square, one of the best hot fudge brownie sundae I’ve ever had, at Bay Street Pizza twice, tacos from a yummy street vendor, incredible grilled cheese sandwiches, and way to many cannoli. Such an incredible trip!
We both are discovering how much we love travel. We love getting away from it all and heading out on an adventure, we love discovering a new places, we love the food, we love pushing ourselves to try new things, and we love coming home to our people and our own comfy bed for a good night sleep.
