LITTLE BY LITTLE is my phrase for this year. Yes, not a word but when this phrase came to me I knew it should be my focus of 2019.
Little by little. I’m wanting to get better about scheduling my time, work on getting healthier and stronger, continue to work on being the best wife and mom I can be, and keep working on our home.
Last year my word was complete and I feel really good about all we did. We were able to complete a lot of the work on our home remodel and get to a place where our home is functional and looks good. Technically it is not complete, but I learned that a lot of that was out of my control, and I have learned to be patient with all of the ups and downs. I know that little by little it will be complete soon and I’m grateful for where we are at now. I was also hoping to be able to lose some weight this last year. Well, I realized I have a hard time losing weight when I’m stressed and not sleeping much. The remodel and weight loss did not go hand in hand. Hoping this year will give me the space to get healthier. Not only lose some weight but work on getting stronger, having more energy, and making sure I get the rest and self care.
So, little by little is my goal. A huge part of it all will be getting healthier and I’m planning to share another post on that tomorrow. I also want to share all of my goals for the year here soon. We are planning an anniversary trip here soon to solidify our goals for 2019 and beyond, so I will probably save my goal post until after Steve and I have worked on them together. I love goals, I love a whole year in front of me to grow, learn, sometimes struggle, get back up, start over, work hard, and ultimately come out better and stronger. I really feel like 2019 will be a year of moving forward and getting things done. I’m excited to see huge growth and change as I work on all that I want to do and would like to be, little by little, day after day, week after week, throughout the coming year.
