“It is in the temple that we remember who we really are and see with clarity who we really can become.”
-Jean A. Stevens
I was able to go to the temple this last week with the youth of our ward. It felt so good to walk into the walls of the temple and leave the cares of the world behind. It was my daughter Isabelle’s first time to attend the temple and she loved it. She was so excited to go and enjoyed her time there. I love that my children have this great group of kids to grow up with.
I had an opportunity to sit for about 15 minutes while I was there and the minute I sat down I felt it. I just felt peace and a feeling of calm. I always feel this way when I go to the temple. The last few weeks have been extra busy, not only do I have a lot going on, but I also am wanting and trying to do all the things. So having this moment was extra needed.
I love feeling the peace the temple brings, a place free from the cares of the world, where we focus on eternal things. I can focus more easily on the things that truly matter.
I know we need these moments to take a step back and focus on what really matters. So grateful I was able to make time to attend the temple and find this moment of peace on an average Thursday afternoon.
