I have been wanting to go thrifting for quite awhile now. I was trying to find time to go this summer, but there was always too many things to do. Well, we are still very busy and this week was extra crazy busy (yes, extra crazy busy is a thing) but I was running a bunch of errands and just decided to run into our local Goodwill and found all this goodness. I was hurrying through the store watching the time, knowing I only had about 10 minutes, and I was so impressed with what I picked up.
So, lets chat about a few of these things. This driftwood star I think was handmade. It looks like it was a fun craft project. It is big and wooden and will add so much texture and warmth to our home. I went in looking for copper and found all this copper goodness. These mugs are from Target, regularly ten dollars a piece, I picked them up for four dollars. A bit spendy for me to spend on a mug, but they are large, great quality, and were exactly what I was looking for, and I can use them on my fall tablescape. The other copper items are the little copper bucket and the potpourri dish. So fun. I picked up a couple of these shoe forms. I love these and will snatch them up when I see them. The gold candle holders are minimal and will be useful and add a nice touch to any space. The black candlestick holder and vase will be a great addition to my Halloween mantel. I also grab these white milky vases when I find them, so useful and fun to decorate with.
So that was my haul from the other day. Thrifting is like a little treasure hunt where you find unique items you can get nowhere else. I also love going into the thrift store where everything blends together on the shelves with all this random decor and finding and curating a collection of all the beautiful items that fit my style. It might sound silly to describe it that way, but it is part of the fun for me. Such a good little haul and I truly wish I had time to do more of it.
Also, because I couldn’t wait to see the Halloween decor with these items, I added a few things. It looks so good together. I can’t wait to put these items together and decorate for Halloween here in a little bit.
