I’m prepping for summer around here. This summer will be full of camps, crafts, library visits, hikes, gardening, a bit of travel, maybe a little camping.
Favorite shoes I just purchased. I have been looking at these for a couple years now. I bought them when they were on sale.
I’m also planning to purchase another pair of saltwater sandals, my red ones have finally begun to fall apart after years of use. I’ve always been so impressed with these sandals and their durability.
Okay, I’m loving my sinks by Native Trails. They are the ones we are using in our home, in our kitchen, master, and powder bath, and they are so pretty, they add texture and contrast and are different then your traditional sink.
This goat cheese from Trader Joes. I have actually had multiple people comment to me in the store when I buy this telling my how this cheese is so amazing. Yum.
I just signed up to take this watercolor class by Jones Design Company.
This song is my favorite right now.
Fruit and freshly whipped cream. Oregon strawberries are here and are my favorite summer treats. They are delicious on their own and if you want to add a dollop of freshly whipped cream, delicious.
An easy summer meal plan. I made a plan to use during the remodel and I think I will do the same for summer. I will just plan 2 weeks of meals and rotate them through the summer. Easy peasy.
My favorite online shop and this dress for summer.
Plans to wear lots of swimsuits this summer and loving this cover up, this one, and this one.
I just purchased these plant markers.
The Wednesday Wars is such a good read.
Also, taking a break from social media this week. The prophet of our church challenged us in this talk to take a 7 day break from social media and I took on the challenge. I’m really enjoying the break and wanting to incorporate occasional breaks into my year.
Lemon, lavender, and peppermint for allergies. My allergies are in full force and diffusing these oils helps so much. I’m also experimenting with taking these internally in a clear capsule and it is helping as well. Also, we have already started diffusing citronella when we are outside in the evenings, it is so good at keeping the bugs away.
Brad Smith is such a wonderful youth speaker that my whole family enjoys. I bought couple CDs a couple months ago and last night I bought a few more. Here is one of his collections.
Date nights with my husband. We have been so busy with this remodel that date nights have not been happening. We have been on just a couple of dates since the beginning of the year and we normally are going out weekly or every other week. We were able to go out last night, it was a quick date, but we made it happen and it was so fun to spend time with him.
What have been your summer favorites? I would love to hear any suggestions for fun, easy, and simple summer things to make or do with kids. My idea is to stock up on supplies, pack a few outing bags, and do a bit of prep this next week so we can just grab and do or grab and go this summer.
