This was a fun activity, super simple, and used material we don’t normally use. You will need heavy gauge wire and some jewels and perhaps a couple of jewelry working tools.
I guess this was a sit on the table type of craft and that is exactly what they decided to do.
I bent the wire into the bubble wand shape, leaving the handle of the wands free to add the jewels. The kids added the jewels one by one. Some of the jewels we had would not fit on the wire, but most would.
When they finished, I bent the end of the handle and pinched it closed to keep the jewels in place. These were so much fun to make and turned out so cute. Simple, quick, and easy. I made one to and could see myself making quite a bit more. Perfect in their imperfections.
We experimented with blowing bubble and it didn’t work to well. I’m hoping it was because our bubble solution was super inexpensive and old. We will buy some more and see how they work. We had lots of fun trying to blow bubbles with our new pretty wands.
