In My Kitchen | Cookies, Eggs, & Lilacs

This week in my kitchen included lots of veggie chopping, flower arranging, lunch making, banana cookie baking (the cookies I made we’re from a recipe from Heather’s Whole Food Kitchen Workshop), apple slicing, and egg cracking.  We had breakfast for dinner a couple times.  Earlier in the week Steve ended up buying some organic eggs for a great price, but when he brought them home, we discovered that the eggs expired that week.  So over the next few days we have used them up,  making some omlettes and scrambling some eggs with ham and cheese.

Lately, we have been making ham and cheese sandwiches for the kid’s lunch.  Currently we are adding apples and  cuties, cashews, kid cliff bars, or homemade “healthy” cookies.  We also have had granola balls (super yummy) and of course veggies.  Packing lunches for school and work are very much a part of our kitchen activities each day.

Granola balls sound yummy. I love seeing all the fresh produce and pretty flowers that are appearing in everyone's kitchens these days.

Everything looks really good! Those granola bars sound like something we would really like. I'll have to give them a try.

It all sounds wonderful…and doesn't spring just scream out for more green on our plates?
