I’m joining with Ginny of Small Things today to share with you what I have been reading and knitting. I’m knitting the sweater from the book Phoebe’s Sweater and chose a bright red yarn. Now I’m not so sure I love that color, I chose it before Christmas, and now that it has past, it seems too bright and bold. I also am using bamboo needles and the bulky yarn is not sliding off the needles smoothly. I may need to go and purchase some metal needles to help this project move along. I’m hoping to get it done soon, to pass along with the book to my girl.
I started Luncheon of the Boating Party and The Secret Keeper. I’m really trying to get into the first and am trying to patiently wait to read the second. These are both books for our upcoming book groups. Kate Morton is a new to me author and I can’t wait to dive into this and her other books, but Luncheon of the Boating Party is our February read, so I will continue on. These are both books from my 2014 Book List.
I'll be curious to hear what you think of Kate Morton. She's one of those authors who has been on my to-read list for way too long.
funny how colours and our wishes change over time! still, it looks nice! 🙂
I'm in a book club too and for my turn I chose to do 2 of Kate Morton's books. I did the distant hours and the secret keeper. Both were fantastic books if you keep with them. They kind of start out a bit slow but pick up after a couple chapters.
I haven't heard of The Distant Hours. Another lovely book to add to my list! I'm a good ways into The Secret Keeper now and really enjoying it. Any other authors you have enjoyed?
I know I just need to knit faster, so I don't change my mind.
I'm a good ways into The Secret Keeper now and really enjoying it! I've heard such good things from so many.
