Here is our main bookcase in our dining area and hallway. When we first bought this home I wasn’t sure what to do with the space but finally came up with a plan. Four years later, I’m still loving the result and have fun rearranging every so often.
Just ignore the missing knob on the yellow table above. It disappeared and it hasn’t turned up yet.
Here are some of my favorite books, in no particular order. Just ones that I saw today as I snapped these photos and ones that come to mind.
Little Woman by Louisa May Alcott (I have three copies.)
Enders Game by Orson Scott Card (My son actually grabbed this off the shelf last night, so it is not in the photos.)
Peace Like a River by Leif Enger
Love Comes Sofely by Janette Oke
The Book Thief by Markus Zusak
Jesus the Christ by James Talmage
The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society by Mary Ann Shaffer (I’ve gifted this book a few times.)
The Rhythm of Family by Amanda and Stephen Soule (Love all her books and her blog!)
The Work and the Glory by Gerald Lund
Some Children’s Books In Our Collection
Mrs Frisby and the Rats of Nimh by Robert O’Brien
Goodnight Moon by Margaret Wise Brown
Green Eggs and Ham by Dr. Seuss
Brown Bear, Brown Bear by Bill Martin Jr.
Little House Series by Laura Ingalls Wilder
Here are my Spanish scriptures from my mission. I love seeing these on the bookshelf.
I have loved sharing posts about the books that we read. I’m getting ready to make my 2014 booklist for this upcoming year. You can find my previous booklist here: 2013, 2011, 2010.
Linking up with Modern Mrs. Darcy. Lots of fun bookcases to look at!
Love, love, love. So many good books and so beautifully arranged. And Little Women is my all time favorite:)
Thanks Kimberly! There are so many other books that I have been thinking of adding to the list. I'm thinking of doing a follow-up post of my top 25 books. Thanks for visiting!
Oh my goodness: the globes, the Penguin classics, the white shelves and yellow accent table. Love.It.All.
Thanks for sharing your shelves with us!
Thanks Anne! Thanks for the opportunity to link up with you and for always inspiring us with great books.
