After a long day with kids, housework, errands, spills, pick-ups, drop-offs, cooking, laundry, you name it, it can make for a frazzled wife. When my husband comes home from work, there are days when I’m just relieved that he is home and ready to get the kids fed and in bed. Getting pretty for him takes just a few minutes and can set the mood for the rest of the evening. It speaks volumes to him. More then that, it speaks to us, telling us that we are wanting to take care of ourselves, wanting to look our best, to feel pretty so we can spend time with the one we love.
I’m far from perfect, but when I take the time to do this before my husband walks through the door, it makes such a difference. I usually just brush my hair, brush my teeth, add some lip gloss, I may add a little makeup, and change my shirt if it needs it. It just takes my a few minutes and I feel so much better! It makes a difference.
