How amazing it is to write the title of this post. 35 years, how does that even happen?? It is not that I’m having a hard time turning 35 or getting older, its that I can’t believe that I’m really 35. Wow!! I need to mentally catch up with my age, to wrap myself around the reality of it.
I have been working on a post of 35 things to do during my 35th year. I’m feeling so inspired to set goals and accomplish things, though I’m not sure where I will find the time to get it done.
Since I just had a baby 2 1/2 weeks before my birthday, we spent the day at home, celebrating with family. Having this little guy during my birthday month was the best gift I could receive. (Have I mentioned how excited I am to have a little October baby, love this time of year!) My parents have been in town helping out after Beckett’s arrival. My mom, oh my wonderful mother, made me a yummy birthday dinner and made me feel so special on my day. Steve got me the little blue rolling cart from Ikea that I had asked for, some Aveda products, and some See’s Truffles. I ordered some Penguin Classic books, some stamps, and some washi tape. I felt quite spoiled. We had coconut cream pie, I blew out my candles surrounded by those I love most, and began another wonderful year of my crazy, wonderful life.
