The tree is trimmed, the decorations are up, MOST of the shopping is done. We have started our 12 days of Christmas (more on that later), I just started working on some small scrapbooks for each of the kids, and wrapping gifts is on my mind. The reading of Christmas stories is in full swing. Christmas music can be heard at all hours, though I may put in a Christmas CD of my choice, I soon hear the happy tunes of the soundtrack for Home Alone, my children’s curren favorite.
Trying to get ready for the kids to be home from school this next couple weeks. I have much planned for their two week break. A craft planned for each day, some select must see Christmas DVDs to watch, of course finishing our 12 days of Christmas, and lots of reading, talking, and snuggling by the fire. Love that they are going to be home with me all day!
So, Christmas is in full swing at our home. We are trying to focus on the true meaning of Christmas, less of what we are getting and more on what we are giving. More family time spend together. More of a focus on the birth of our Savior and what that means to us right now. More of a focus on his teachings and how we can make that a part of our everyday. Focusing on the simple and special of Christmas, what really matters in the end.
