I’m continually working on improving my health through eating and exercise. Not that I’m any good at it. If I was good at it I wouldn’t have to work so hard at it, right? Well, I want to set some goals for myself. I thought I would set three new goals each month and try to really solidify some healthy habits. So my three goals this month will be as follows.
- Drink 8 glasses of water a day.
- Exercise 6 days a week.
- No sugar or white flour.
Sounds pretty simple. Of course the actual doing is a lot harder then the goal setting.
I have been working on a few other things these past few months that I haven’t shared much of on the blog. We have been trying to eat a lot more vegetables and fruit. The green smoothies have really helped, but I have also been trying to make salad a big part of my diet and have made that the main dish of many of my meals. We have had a lot of meatless meals. We are not vegetarian but we are definitely trying to eat less meat. I have been trying to replace the meat that we do eat with organice beef, farm fresh chicken, and fish. Baby steps is key to this process. Just focusing on a couple things at a time and forming those healthy habits. I have really tried to focus on the excitment of so many new things that we have added to our diet. Healthy dishes that have natural pushed out the not so healthy. It is amazing how much fun it has been to try these new dishes. There are so many yummy, healthy things to eat out there!
I will let you know how I do with the goals listed above. Have you been trying any new healthy habits you would like to share? It would be fun to hear what motivates you and keeps you on track!
