Well there was a lot of this,
and then some of this,

and a whole lot of this.

Then you stop, and wait, and think.
Your happy with what you have, but look forward to the time you are able to add the finishing touches.

You save money and try to explain to people why you have a pipe sticking out of the wall and what a potfiller is exactly.
Then you add subway tile and make those curtains.

Then, finally, you decide you don’t like said curtains. You decide to redo them. After 10 months the potfiller is finally installed. (Sometimes its hard to find a good plumber.) You finally find the perfect chairs to go around your island.
And now, drumroll please, you have a complete kitchen.
That you absolutely love.
So, I’ll take you on a tour. At first glance it may not look that different.
But, here you see the notorious potfiller, right where it belongs.
The subway tile is in place. I love the trim peice on the top, that was a last minute decision.
Look, my desk is cleared off!
Here is my little message center. You can never have enough red!
Here are the new curtains. I just did these this last week. I wanted a semi neutral, modern curtain. I love the simplicity with a touch of soft blue. I love the way that they turned out!
I can’t tell you how happy I am to look at this everyday. It tells me that it really is all DONE!
Here are my perfect chairs, perfect height, perfect depth, and aren’t they pretty???
And, I finally have some books to fill up this bookcase. They aren’t all cookbooks yet, I improvised by adding some home organization and nutrition books to the mix. Love it!
Feeling so happy and blessed with how it all turned out.
Thanks for the tour – LOVED all the pictures. It's gorgeous. And you did such a good job on those curtains! So happy for you.
I love love love your kitchen! It seriously could come out of a magazine! I bet your so happy it is done. I wish I had something that gorgeous to cook in everyday.
That kitchen really is beautiful! You are definitely an artist Callie.
